Balance druid’s future version also was meleeing mobs with his staff. Made me a bit scared.

And the Mordor impression of Icecrown is strong, but the quests there are quite nice and fun, so it does level things a bit.

True. Doesn’t mean the artwork of buildings and even the lighting has to be so similar though. Just a matter of perception of course, but it detracts from my enjoyment of the area.

Either my second or third toon to go through this one will be a mage *shudder* looks like the future nerfs will be really severe to turn mages into melee combatants…

I’ll agree that the SotA starting order has a smaller impact on the eventual victor of the match than any of the various imbalances in the asymmetric AV map – I suspect that it’s no coincidence that there’s almost no use in-game for AV marks at level 80. The SotA starting side is more of a metagame issue, with the team that starts on offense having more control over the length of the match (which affects honor gain/time, and one of the achievements).

#1. I think “Mordor” every time I fly over Icecrown too…. but LotR is hard NOT to reference in a game, even by accident…. The novels presented a huge world, and to intentionally avoid all environs that may come from the book would not be feasible. A bleak, desolate, craggy area is the perfect area for Arthas to make his home in…… so I can easily excuse the similarity to Mordor, intentional or not.

#2. The “Future Me” quest is only one half of an amusing little chain. You’ll enjoy how it concludes – it really is a quirky little storyline.
