I also just got my very first non-gaming-related spam comment. The culprit? A post about setting priorities at level 80. Some personal organization software vendor decided that people reading this post would be interested in buying their product. For example, my blog holds the top google hit for "Warhammer population". If you've read many Warhammer blogs, you'll know that there are dozens of more prominent blogs than mine that have addressed the issue. The difference is that the title of my post started with "Warhammer population". While I have had a website for more than 10 years now and started my first blog more than 5 years ago I can still learn new things it seems. Maybe I will have time to fix some of these issues on my blog ... actually while I was on blogger my google visibility was quite good, that only changed when I moved to self-hosting :( I knew when I saw the post title that I inspired this :) Thanks.
