- pop the dates into somewhere a little less prominent, as they are extra information only, and I’d bring up the size of the post text slightly to make it different from the other text.

I like it! The graphics, while sparse, are visually pleasing and unobtrusive. One thing I would mention (and was mentioned previously), folks running at 1024×768 will have to side-scroll to see your sidebar (which many won’t bother to do). According to OneStat, 1024×768 accounts for ~57% of internet user resolutions.

Also, the comment input boxes and your post content are pressed right up against the edge of the browser window, which doesn’t give users a place to “rest their eyes” while in the middle of posting a comment or reading an article.

I hope that doesn’t sound like I’m being too critical. I do actually like the new design very much. The soft dark blue/turquoise is relaxing.

Post text should be a bit indented, first couple of letters are hard to read due to background.
I would also suggest setting a smaller width for posts, there’s still plenty of people with 1024×768 (according to my sites stats, 24%).
