Wolfdancer, my shammie, dinged 40 this weekend. I have to say, looking back on this journey, that the changes brought by patch 2.3 really do make a big difference in leveling a toon in this range. Whereas my previous playthroughs seemed quite drawn out, in particular the STV part, the levels just flew by this time.
Anyway, I have a mount, can chain heal, wear mail (but haven’t found anything but a chest piece worth wearing so far) and just picked Stormstrike which is said to allow major arse kicking. Looking forward to the next 10 levels.

Actually, Stormstrike is major arse kicking. It will be your opening hit on every mob, followed by a shock of course. It even augments the damage of your nature’s shield. When you also get dual wield, you are going to race your character to 60 in no time at all…
