Its an internet spider, crawler or agent ( depending on POV) that just follows the links from your system to all the other blogs, eventually hitting all of them. (same way google spider works essentially, just smaller scale) He's spoofing the ip address, so posting it is a waste of time ( in this case its an electrical company ) On the plus side, at least your spam filter caught it, but it wont go away, They've got your blog on a list, and if they are smart, they are going to be selling that list to other gold sellers for the extra cash. Your service provider might have better luck tracking the original site, if they are willing/able to put a tracking filter on your account, but I wouldnt count on it, since technically, being an a@@hat isnt illegal, and posting to blogs is hardly a federal offense ( so far...) Some of the pictogram blocks will stop these programs, but not all of them will. Google makes the best one, and anyone based on it will work for you, some are so bad they can be machine read anyways, and otehrs are so bad that PEOPLE cant read them, defeating the purpose entirely.
