Ding 200th post
Since I missed most of these vanity milestones, I just thought I’d make a self-centered post for the 200th.
No big looking back this time (I made one at the 152nd post), just noting that I’ve been at this for 7 months now, and it seems you are now 150 to read this through the syndication feed and around 160ish on average visiting every day.
The interaction with you and the rest of the WoW blogosphere is certainly the most interesting aspect, and I value a good argument as much as agreeing with others (and there has been plenty of arguments around in the last months, eh?).
So instead of pondering on my journey this time I will rather go through the always interesting search keywords which lead people to Altitis:
Welfare Epics: Who’d have thought. Turns out I have spilled a lot of virtual ink on that topic.
Tankadin Gear: Matter of fact, what you are looking for isn’t on this site but on Zen Tanking
Parrot, Cowtip, DogTag, BuffProtectorGnome, ClosetGnome: you’ll probably want to browse my reviews.
[insert class name] Arena Guide: Don’t have anything class-specific. I enjoy arena a lot, but truth to be told, I am not exactly good at it. I still haven’t broken 1683 rating (and that was in S2), nothing to brag about. I just have a dummy’s guide for starting in Arena, or will have to point you to Megan who actually knows what she blogs about.
(Coding) an Armory Crawler: Based on an abandoned experiment, if you want a few pointers on getting armory data in PHP code, this is how I did it. If you are interested in Arena team statistics (what my Crawler was about), you will be much better served here. It has all I wanted to get and much, much more.
Global CoolDown in Patch 2.3, /stopcasting and Quartz: Before 2.3 was released, I spent some time on figuring out how the new global Cooldown mechanism would affect gameplay, and in practice, I wasn’t too far off.
[insert class / spec name] Macros: yes, I have written a couple, too.
UOSSMUD: Turns out Google will also index all comments, because I never made a full post about it. But yes, in the distant past, I used to play and even code some for UOSSMUD.
How to become a hardcore raider: search me. I expect there’s raiding involved or something. Now not to take any cheap shots here, what it takes most probably involves a lot of dedication first and foremost, being up to speed with everything your class can do and how to apply it in a raid environment, striving for excellence in gameplay, being highly available at least 4h on 4-5 nights a week, the ability to work in a team, execute a strategy with enough flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, a steady stream of gold for repairs and consumables, patience, low tolerance for taking and generating drama, organization. And more practically, if you are unwilling to use raid signup forms or unable to have Omen running, forget about it. You aren’t cut of the right cloth.
3rd World wipe butt: Uhm… yeah. Chances are we are of a different political persuasion. Altitis is hosted by treehuggers.info, I’m more likely to be a bleeding heart liberal than someone who would type this specific keyword sequence into google. This is a game blog, anyway.
Account Hacked / Security: It is an issue in WoW. Here are some pointers.
Bear Butt links: Wrong site. The druid you are looking for posts from here. As an aside, I wonder what kind of search terms he gets
Darnassus Cheese: Mmmh. Cheese.
QQ more you loot whore: Indeed. Your tears are music to my ears. But you were probably searching for this.
Proximo Arena Importance: Very high. Get it. Now.
Sunwell 5-men dungeon loot: Sorry, no divination here. Watch World of Raids or MMO-Champion for news.
ZA loot better than T4: Yeah, that’s what they say. Go there and find out?
That’s the essence of it. Nothing really completely odd here, thanks for that.

What a great idea for an anniversary post! Man, you’ve got some good stuff squirreled away in the archives. You might see me commenting on some of the posts you’ve referred to (like macros and arena tips) so don’t be shocked if an old post gets a new comment. Thanks and congrats on your milestone!
