Arena in Pictures

About 40 minutes before the points rolled over, Steptoe and me managed to go back for our missing games.

We won some, we lost some, we continued after reaching 10 games to try and get to the elusive 1700 rating. Never made it tonight.
During a warm-up skirmish, we faced that wonderful example of ultimate maturity, one of these rare players who revel in a good challenge above everything else and takes every opportunity to honour his opponents.Note that I was dead at that time, and filter out emotes from my normal chat log during a fight. I thought such an admirable defender of Honour deserved to be named in person. That would be Shattered Halls EU BTW. If you happen to play there, do not hesitate to convey my deepest respect to Josboy.

Later on, during a ranked match, Steptoe went down before me, taking the opposing healer with him, and leaving the rogue at around 25% health. Holy Shock, Judge Righteousness… the guy vanishes and runs. And keeps running, never thinking about getting distance and bandaging or something. One second Holy Shock and a Hammer of Wrath later, we won that one. And then the loading screen wouldn’t port us back to Shatt for ages.

Went to get my Merciless Glad Shoulders, getting rid of my last green piece on my main armour slots (still have trinks and 1 ring to swap some day), and was lucky to be 24 points short of 1875, because it removed the hesitation about getting the chestpiece instead.

Rogues were a pain tonight, and we lost to one of the good ole spriest / lock combos as well. We took a bit of a revenge on a rogue + shadow priest duo, however. Among other because the shadow priest… well, you can read that for yourselves:
Anyway, new shoulders, we’ve lost a couple of points from our all-time high of 1683. I blame the wide range of matchups we actually get, teams from the low 1600s up to 1900-2000 due to our Battlegroup’s low population. We’re finally going to take the plunge soon and migrate to the oldest Battlegroup. Probably more teams in full merciless glad gear, but I expect after we adjust we’ll find some of these aren’t exactly as good as their gear suggests. We’ll see, though.

Ha. The bit about the rogue was funny.

Server transfer to be in a harder battlegroup? Yikes. Dedication!

Haha, It’s not exactly to be in a harder battlegroup, It’s to be on a server with other people and to be in a battlegroup where there are people.

Get the idea? Our realm is desperately underpopulated and our bg queues are sickening. When it comes to arena we get matched against people nowhere near our rating, sometimes above sometimes below. At least in Blackout, no matter what the gear they have is, they should be near enough to our level because there is enough people playing there to match teams properly.

We’ll be moving tomorrow or the day after but Celerann(Gwaendar) doesn’t know so sh!! ;)

PS: Cel, I counted, there are but 3 pictures

Well now that makes sense. A server with a pulse does sound nice :)

    Good luck !

Yes, we made the move, but, arena queues for 2v2 are between 5 and 15 minutes. although bg queues are instant. Rumor has it that 3v3 queues are way more acceptable.
