Steptoe was fed up with not gaining points fast enough for his taste to buy his welfare epics (we are stuck around / near 1380-1390 rating and end up at 5-5 every week), so he hooked us up with a guild-neutral, spanking new 5v5 team.
So two nights ago we managed to get 5 team members online at the same time and went through our 10 games. We had a blast, ended up at 9-1.
Team composition is 2 pallies, Steptoe the warlock, one warrior and one rogue. The other pallie and the rogue have Kara-grade gear, which helps a ton.
Needless to say, I’m hopelessly undergeared in that team and most of the time was the acting decoy people went after at the beginning while our DD killed their healer(s), keeping busy with a bit of patch healing while trying to make the opponents take as long as possible to kill me. I’d usually compete with our warrior in first member down, the one competition I won more often than him in the whole series.
The whole team is awesome, looking forward to next week. I’m also counting down the time until they kick me for someone better geared. Unfortunately, my server is still pretty dead in terms of instance runs, so going after the immediate relief blue drops which would make me less gimp is a game of luck. I hope I’ll get a couple of good runs this week-end.
